Welcome to Shimmy for the Soul: belly dance classes, costumes & dancers for hire!
One of the newest troupes in the Lower Mainland, Shimmy for the Soul [also known as Vancouver's Desert Rain Dancers] performed at over 20 community events in their first three months together. Dancers of all levels, ages and backgrounds come together in Vancouvers Desert Rain Dancers student troupe which is best known for experimenting with a wide range of styles of belly dance, as well as for their adventurous spirit and for love of the dance. Shimmy for the Soul - the performance troupe, is the newest branch of VDRD to emerge on the scene featuring the experienced performance dancers in VDRD dancing some of Nicole's more 'showy' performance choreographies.
Here you will find the latest updates on bellydance classes and events with Nicole Whitney (News for the Soul aka 'the Oprah of the Internet') and student performance troupe Vancouver's Desert Rain Dancers - a multi level performance group bringing live bellydance to the Lower Mainland and beyond!
